Regular Members

To be eligible to become a regular member, a member must:

    #. Must meet the eligibility requirements of an :doc:`apprentice`.
    #. Have served a minimum of either:
        #. One calendar year as an :doc:`apprentice` of this Unit, OR
        #. Six months as an apprentice member of this Unit AND a minimum of six months as a member of another Shrine clown unit.
    #. Have dressed for a minimum of five outings.



To advance from :doc:`apprentice` to regular member status, a member must:

    #. Meet or exceed the eligibility requirements set forth above.
    #. Approach the Unit :doc:`/officers/elected/positions/president` and request a promotion.
    #. Receive a majority vote at the next :doc:`/meetings/regular` of the Unit.



Upon promotion to regular status, each member shall receive:

    #. One updated :doc:`../card` indicating regular membership status.
    #. One cloth patch bearing the :doc:`../insignia`.
    #. One multicolored :doc:`../jacket`.
    #. One :doc:`../fez`.



A regular member:

    #. Shall have all rights of an :doc:`apprentice`.
    #. Shall pay :doc:`../dues/index`.
    #. Shall be permitted to run for :doc:`/officers/elected/positions/index`.
    #. Shall be permitted to wear :doc:`../insignia`.
    #. Shall be permitted to wear a :doc:`../fez`.



Regular members are *expected* to:

    #. Participate in all approved outings.
    #. Attend all meetings of the Unit.
    #. Coach apprentice members on their makeup, their costume, their and behavior while dressed.
